Submissions
We have a limited number of openings for writers in the following sections:

- Politics (Local and Regional)

- Fitness and Outdoors
- Food and Wine
- Books
If you're interested in contributing, we invite you to email us at write(@)austinist.com. Submit a brief bio and a few short writing samples (brevity, please!) pertaining to the section(s) you're interested in covering. We cannot accept submissions that are sent as attachments, so please send your work as part of the body of an e-mail. Please note that due to hectic schedules and happy hour considerations, it may take us a while to respond.
Additionally, if you'd like to share a photograph with us to accompany one of our future posts, please either tag it "austinist_stock" or simply "austinist" on flickr. Please don't submit photos directly to us, as they tend to get lost in the shuffle of things.
