Austin's Finest Won't Be On Cops
City officials have turned away FOX's crapfest viewer-favorite Cops, which was supposed to start filming here very soon. A couple years ago, Travis County Sheriffs were featured on the ultimate reality show (and plan to be on the show again), but Austin officials aren't allowing APD to get involved with it. While some in the Austin Police Association are disappointed, it may be best that America is spared seeing another half-naked drunk person being arrested on 6th Street (we assume that something like that is what would have been featured on the show). But isn't it a double standard to allow The Real World to shoot here and not the awesomeness/awfulness that is Cops?

Let me guess, The City of Austin doesn't want COPs to be filmed in Austin because then the entire nation can see how mundane and useless APD is. And seeing how the PAC for the Police Association is almost solely responsible for putting numerous council members in office, I wouldn't expect the City to role out the red carpet for an expose.
or the simple answer: how many noise complaints can we really watch.
Cops is THE most American TV show ever. fuck that limey idol shit.
