Right-Wing Douchebag Delivers Weak Left Hook

From the Statesman:

Hays County authorities are investigating a report that State House District 45 Rep. Patrick Rose, D-Dripping Springs was assaulted today while standing outside a polling place at Sunset Canyon Baptist Church east of Dripping Springs.

Rose, an attorney with the Ratliff Law Firm and a licensed Realtor, said he was punched by Rick Green, his 2002 Republican opponent.

"Rick lost his temper," he said. "It's unfortunate that something like this happened on election day."

According to witnesses, Green first pushed Rose and then punched him in the face. Even while others attempted to restrain him, the rabid Republican taunted Mr. Rose by calling him such vintage schoolyard nicknames as "the big baby." The victim, unhurt, opted not to fight back, though he remarked, "Next time I see Rick, I'll remember to keep my left up."

Authorities aren't sure exactly what provoked the election day fisticuffs, but the Statesman points out that Rose defeated then-incumbent Green back in 2002 by a very narrow margin.

that headline rules!

This would explain the ginormous line of people waiting to vote with news trucks on satellite feeds in otherwise sleepy, Dripping Springs this afternoon around 3:00 p.m. All of this clearly visible as one speeds past on the left jag (290) of the Y in Oak Hill.

Both sides suck. Vote third party!

i believe i'd like that headline embroidered on a throw pillow. damn my lack of embroidery skills!
