Longhorn Running Back Ramonce Taylor in a Sticky (Icky) Situation
Marijuana and University of Texas running backs have a bit if a history. See: Ricky Williams. Add Ramonce Taylor to the list.
The junior back, who scored 15 touchdowns for the National Champions last year, was arrested early Sunday morning after police searched his car and found a round of ammunition and a bag of marijuana weighing a reported 5+ pounds.
Police were responding to a call about a fight involving up to 100 people at a pecan farm north of Austin. Someone reported that Taylor stated he was going to get a gun to help settle the problem. Upon hearing this, the cops cuffed Taylor and searched his car, with the running back’s permission. That’s when they found the herb and the ammo.
Authorities have charged him with a state felony drug possession, which carries up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine, until they officially weight the dope. If they find the amount to be over five pounds, the charge will increase to a second-degree felony, punishable by 2-20 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
Taylor’s lawyer has said that the weed did not belong to his client, although police did identify the bag as Taylor’s. The running back has not been practicing in spring drills, taking time off to focus on academics. We'll wait and see what comes of the investigation. But it appears one of Texas' best players, whether guilty or not, may have fallen victim to some pretty bad judgment on this one.

Is that photo stock or from a personal collection? Either way, I like it.
Sounds like he's perfect for the Cowboys.
