Beyond Thunderdome: Week Two

The 2006 season of the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls got off to an exciting start in Week One. With a broken nose for each team, these these girls proved they're not afraid to mix it up.

Each time the Hellcats scratched up a lead, the Cherry Bombs quickly rolled it back, until the fourth and final quarter, when the kitties clawed their way to the top and made their mark on the new Thunderdome as the first winners of 2006. Though the Hellcats emerged victorious, the short-fused Cherry Bombs proved they're not afraid of a good catfight, giving the sold-out crowd a taste of the fast and furious brand of derby that's headed down the banked track this season.

Final score, Hellcats 63, Cherry Bombs 60.

With Week One behind us, it's time to look forward to this weekend's Week Two match between the Holy Rollers and the Putas del Fuego. If the first bout was that exciting just imagine how much fun the second will be! This week's music brought to you by Maneja Beto.

The Holy Rollers leave their schoolbooks behind to take on the sin-soaked vixens of the Putas del Fuego. After narrowly missing a Cavello Cup victory last season, the Holy Rollers are hot to prove they can teach anyone a lesson on the track. But can these steamy schoolgirls bring enough heat to match the fury of the women with fire burning in their very veins, the Putas del Fuego?

There's only one way to find out! Head out to the all new Thunderdome on Sunday to catch the excitement in person.
