Peel Recap
Peel, a band that is fresh like a baby still covered in amniotic fluid, had their debut show last night at Redrum. Their five song set ranged from experimental rock out to indie pop love song, and though it had a few rough patches, was definitely enjoyable.
The hottest topic of the night, however, was the age of Peel's bass player, who, in braces and thick eyeliner, looked like everyone's highschool girlfriend.
"I think she's 17," said Peel's rythm guitarist.
"I thought she was 18!" said their keyboard player.
"No way, guys," said the lead singer. "She's 16."
It doesn't matter to Austinist how old she is. She played a good show, and didn't tempt anyone into committing serious crimes. That alone is enough for us.
